EC Conference Bio-based & Water-based Coatings 2022
The two hottest topics of the industry combined in one conference for the first time!
A hand-picked programme with two joint keynotes, 18 presentations by top-notch speakers in two parallel sessions - compiled by the editors of the European Coatings Journal, the people behind the European Coatings Show Conference - will provide not only the latest results from research and development as well as state-of-the-art solutions. The 1.5-day conference also offers extensive networking opportunities to exchange ideas and make contacts with international like-minded people.

General
The challenge of developing sustainable coatings is a topic that affects almost everyone in the paint manufacturing industry, suppliers and paint manufacturers likewise. There are two main directions to succeed this subject: The development of bio-based coatings and the further development of water-based coatings. The latter has been growing steadily since the 1970s at the latest. Nevertheless, further developments seem to be needed to achieve adequate performance. And these are in progress, with a focus on binders and additives.
In contrast to these long-established systems are the bio-based coatings, which have only experienced increasing demand in recent years. Due to different regulatory requirements, it is almost impossible to ignore this topic. There are a variety of innovative approaches that always focus on the challenge of achieving satisfactory performance of the resulting coating.
